SANAA School in Essen Germany

The randomly punctured facade of this university building in Essen Germany gives a playful touch to an otherwise simple structure. Another incredible building by SANAA!

I believe the windows were located after much consideration on the activities happening inside. the great foyer and open hall having more and bigger windows as opposed to the classrooms and workshop space on the levels above. heard the original design had over 3000 small windows which was simplified due to the feasibility to what it looks like now. is there any building by SANAA in Singapore?
(and hi! im a student at welsh school of architecture hoping to go back to Sg for work after graduation =)

Hi, yes the facade is very nice! Unfortunately we don't have any SANAA buildings in Singapore yet.. but if you are interested in working here, you might be interested in this link: http://bit.ly/sgarchitects
